One of the best opportunities for learning and development professionals to show their value is to demonstrate how the transfer of learned skills and knowledge influences individual and organizational performance. Effective learning transfer means that learning leaders must extend their reach to include the post-course environment. In this interactive session, you will explore best practices for promoting learning transfer outside of the training function and for engaging managers in actively supporting trainees' on-the-job application of learned skills.  Proven examples and practical take-away tools will be provided.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

* Explore practical steps, tools, and strategies for improving learning transfer

* Engage managers in supporting learners pre and post program participation

* Evaluate the extent of learning transfer, along with enablers and barriers to transfer
