Why Attend This Workshop?

FLYER: How to Create an Online Class Using Free or Low Cost Resources

Are you a trainer or curriculum designer with little or no budget?  Do you have a need to get classes out on the Internet for employees in remote locations?  If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then this is the course for you!

This one-day hands-on workshop is being presented by Mike Hodge, in conjunction with the Los Rios Community College District’s (LRCCD) Government Training Academy (GTA) and the Sacramento Chapter of Association of Talent Development (ATD).  The course will be presented at the Los Rios CCD Learning Center, 1450 Ethan Way on August 13, 2015, in the newly upgraded computer lab.

Seats are limited to 18. They will go fast, so register early.  The cost for the workshop is $99 for Chapter Members and $129 for non-Sacramento Chapter ATD members.

Who should attend: Mike has put this customized class together specifically for trainers and instructional designers that have a need to produce web-based training but have little funds to purchase software like Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, or Adobe Captivate.

In this course you will learn how to take advantage of the many free (or low cost) programs available for developing websites, producing videos, developing quizzes and surveys managing the learning environment (Learning Management System LMS).

Participants will be introduced to several software platforms and applications for:

• Hosting a class (Quia, Wix, and Google) and
• Supporting online training and evaluations (Quia, Google Forms, Picasa; Doodle, Survey Monkey, etc.)

If this is something you are interested in or need, then this is the class for you.
