Please rest assured: ATD Sacramento has been receiving guidance from ATD National and has been monitoring the latest information including reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local county public health authorities.
Earlier this week, the CDC issued guidance recommending against gatherings of 50 or more individuals for the next eight weeks. Two days ago, the entire Bay Area was required to shelter-in-place, and today, Sacramento County has issued an order to shelter-in-place effective through April 7, 2020. The CDC has also recommended that events of significant importance should only be continued if they can be carried out with adherence to guidelines for protecting vulnerable populations, hand hygiene, and social distancing. ATD is attempting to abide by this guidance as well as any applicable government mandates from Federal, State, and local authorities.
ATD Sacramento is aware that many local chapters are currently working through meeting cancellations or postponements. We are discussing many things with our community partners and are trying to make informed decisions that allow us to keep serving you, our learning and development community, as we move through the current situation.
With all of that said, we would like to ask for your understanding as we navigate this situation. Also, we would like to hear from you regarding how we can continue to serve you. Please watch for future communications and, again, please do not hesitate to reach out.
